Beam Signing Complete, Installed for All to See

During Phase I of Sacred Space we started a Redeemer tradition by signing the steel beam that spans the full length of the gymnasium stage.  It was Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010.  This is the same span that lies just above the altar and dossal curtain that we use today for worship in our gymnasium. 

The structure for the new sanctuary will also be made of steel.  At the Homecoming Picnic on Sunday, September 12, 2021 the congregation gathered behind the gymnasium to place their best wishes, favorite Bible verse and signature on the steel beam that now spans the front door of our new worship home.

On Monday, October 4, 2021, the beam was installed by steelworkers, as chronicled on this page.  The beam now rests securely in place atop the front porch, above the eight foot double doors that will lead into the new sanctuary.  An aerial drone video of the signed beam, in place, is found below.
