On Thursday, July 14, 2022 a large transport truck arrived from Canada loaded with hundreds of crates and boxes which contain our new Casavant organ. Along with the new organ a three person installation team arrived to undertake the approximately four week install process. The team will work in concert with our electricians to install all the various components. There are many components, not just the organ console (which is one of the last pieces to assemble), but also the organ blower, the wind chests, the wood and metal organ pipes, the chimes, the zimbelstern (more on that later!) and the wood casements that will hold the thirty visible metal organ pipes in the Redeemer chancel. After the install process is complete, another Casavant team will complete a two week voicing and tuning process.
